Great experience with Liz at Kaoud Rugs of Orange. I found a beautiful 100% wool rug, but wasn’t sure it would look right in my home. Liz suggested I take the rug home with me that day (for free) and make a decision after seeing it in the space. If I didn’t love it, Kaoud Rugs would pick it up from my home the following day. SO convenient! This made all the difference for me! Liz knows that these rugs are investments and she wants the customer to love what they pick – I’m sure the whole Kaoud family feels the same way. Kaoud not only has great rugs, it’s people are knowledgeable experts and so helpful! While I’m thrilled with the new 10 x 13 rug I purchased, it is the little “extras” that make the difference in service. Liz showed me many good options, and I felt that I had seen a strong array of choices. Once they put it down in the room, it was clear it was perfect. Her workers were fabulous – polite and accommodating. Best of all, she and Jim researched a problem I had with another rug and were able to find a weaver to fix it! – NG
We recently had Kaoud Rugs and Carpet clean our 5 oriental rugs. Liz helped tremendously by giving us information on the services provided by the store and patiently answering all my questions and concerns. Their efficient crew picked-up and dropped-off the rugs on time and even spread them out in their proper places around the house. The rugs were cleaned very well and exceeded my expectations. On Liz’s recommendation, we also bought pads to put under the rug – they were cut to match the size of our rugs and work perfectly. Had a carpet that was close to 100 years old with one corner disintegrated from a plant sitting on it. Kudos to Jim Kaoud and Liz in the Orange, Ct store for talking me out of cutting away 1/3 of the rug to keep it uniform. Instead they cut around the compromised area and though not a perfect rectangle, the look is unique and fantastic. I recommend this store for anyone looking to bring a rug back to life. We came in to see Jim at Kaoud in Orange because we had an antique Persian rug that was in dire condition. The rug needed cleaning and restoring to say the least, there were many worn areas and most were worn all the way down so that the woven backing was visible. When Jim presented the rug to us again we were absolutely blown away!! The faded colors are vibrant once again and all the worn areas are magically gone. Jim’s work is so thorough and pristine that our beautiful and now perfect antique rug reflects all of his knowledge, passion and expertise for what he does. We are beyond happy with the results. – VL
